Chicken Soup for the African American Soul

We are EXCITED to invite you or a friend to submit your story(ies) for
Chicken Soup for the African American Soul! This is an exciting and awesome project and we'd love to have your participation! You will find submission guidelines and sample stories at  www.AfricanAmericanSoul.com. The stories should be approx. 300-
1200 words, and either make the reader laugh, cry or get Goosebumps. We highly suggest that you go to a bookstore and READ CHICKEN SOUP STORIES before you start writing, as there is a definite "type" of story that qualifies for a Chicken Soup book....heartwarming, inspiring, uplifting... written with EMOTION!
Share your memories with us of mother lessons, father experiences, grandma (big mama) guidance, whoopings, failures turned to victories, faith and church memories, pastor and congregation stories, beauty shop and hair memories, fighting to believe memories, incarceration battles, corporate America victories and lessons and anything else that you believe will inspire millions.  Though we are compiling the memories, it will take a village to tell the story.

Thank you in advance for being the village!
We will be collecting stories until Spring of 2003, or until we get 101 really great stories and would appreciate your story contributions as soon as you are able to get it in (the sooner, the better!)

Please let us know if you have any questions.
PLEASE pass this information on to anyone you think would be interested!
If you've already submitted a story... THANK YOU! Please spread the word!
If you are interested in being on our volunteer development team to work and bring this book to completion, please email us at AfAmSoul@aol.com
Thank you for your commitment.

You received this email because of expressed interest in this project or referral from a friend. If you would like to be removed, please just email me back and let me know.
